MDBA Basin Plan Review - Update

The Murray-Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) has provided an update on the progress of the Basin Plan Review following the close of public consultation.

With almost 2,500 submissions received from across the Basin, the Review has now moved into the analysis phase. MDBA advise that submissions reflect a broad range of perspectives from Basin communities and will help inform the next stage of the Review.

The MDBA is now analysing community feedback alongside scientific evidence, existing data, and findings from previous reviews and evaluations to develop a comprehensive understanding of the issues before preparing recommendations and finalising the Review Report.

As part of this process, the Authority is also reconnecting with Basin governments and a range of organisations to better understand aspects of their submissions and further explore the issues raised.
